I’m Daniel Kwan, a passionate Design Engineer with skills in a variety of fields and applies them to approach creative and unique solutions through hands-on prototyping and mechanical design.

Vacuum end effector designed around high-pressure vacuum driver with no datasheet and reference. Functions and design tested through testing and manual measurements.
First prototype functioned as intended and performance exceeded expectations with vacuum force greatly above required levels.
Both mechanical and electrical implementations tested through component analysis. Part functions such as PWM speed control and hall sensor rpm output directly adapted to control system.

Designed out of necessity, functional design made to last. The monitor’s mounting layout was unique to the product, meaning standard VESA mounts could not fit. A custom adapter was created to match the custom mounting layout and allow cables to cleanly pass through.

A custom slide design for an airsoft pistol that is rarely modified, the Tokyo Marui MK23. The model concept is designed in Solidworks then manufactured through 3D printing. Aesthetics customized to a futuristic and yet functional shape language.
